Guitar Teacher (Suffolk Coast)

Location: Suffolk Coast

Remuneration: £24-28/hour

Closing Date: 30 March 2021

Start Date: April 2021

The Role

Learning Music is seeking to appoint a Guitar Teacher to teach lessons for one of our clients, a primary school on the Suffolk Coast. There is likely to be 1-3 hours’ work per week available in the first instance. It is intended that the successful candidate will build hours up over time.

It is intended that these lessons will take place in-person at the school. Learning Music does however have a successful online lesson format that may be re-introduced depending on the course of pandemic. Applicants must be open to in-person delivery as our default format, and also prepared to teach online if/when required.

The Organisation

Learning Music is an independent music service. We work with partner schools across the country to deliver inspirational curriculum lessons, instrumental lessons, vocal lessons and ensembles. Our fundamental belief is that all pupils should receive a first class music education and we work with schools to achieve this vision as their specialist adviser and provider.

The Ideal Candidate

Passionate about inspiring students of all ages and backgrounds through excellent teaching and learning, you will either have some prior experience of teaching music in a formal setting or be a strong graduate with an understanding of what good teaching looks like. All lessons as part of this piece of work are guitar lessons, but if you are a multi-instrumentalist applicant (with the ability to teach another instrument such as keyboard/piano etc) this would be considered advantageous. Your engaging style and ability to bring music to life will inspire a love of music among your pupils.

The Process

Learning Music offers fantastic opportunities for music teachers and competitive hourly/daily rates. We are looking for someone to start after Easter. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 30 March. Please upload your CV at the earliest opportunity via the upload form at the bottom of this page quoting job reference number “Suf2” in the “Enquiry” field.
